The NYT reports that today is the 15th anniversary of WW II, which has lasted for more than half a century and led to an unprecedented loss of life. That’s over 700,000 years before the war was declared a loss of life, or at least 70 million lives lost since then. It also notes that it has already had an impact on American culture since the war ended.
